Virginia Plain

Slamm! were a five piece pop band consisting of John Wilks, Julian Gabriah, Dave Stanton, Jason Ashley and Scott Schecter.

They released their first single, a cover of the Love And Money song, "Candybar Express" in 1992

In 1992 they were signed to PWL International and released their first single for the label, "Energize" which was written and produced by Mike Stock and Pete Waterman. The follow up, also produced by Stock and Waterman, a cover of the Roxy Music hit, "Virginia Plain" like the previous song failed to hit the top 40.

The grouped toured schools and clubs promoting but subsequent singles with PWL sadly did not chart.
